FFP Maintenance Technician in Vista, California
This position supports Operations Department objectives by keeping production equipment operating efficiently. This position ensures company facilities are maintained to company standards.
Daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance inspections; conducts safety compliance inspections and maintains records of the production equipment.
Performs and instructs personnel in equipment start-up procedures and machine operation.
Analyzes equipment failures, determines root cause(s) and makes necessary adjustments or repairs.
Ensure company facilities, including buildings and grounds, are maintained to company standards.
Must always follow GMPs and Food Safety Procedures to produce safe in-process products.
Assist with the ordering of parts and inventory control.
Familiar with Reverse Osmosis water systems, water softening equipment, and data logging requirements.
Experience with wastewater treatment and Compliance with Encina wastewater authority operational standards a plus.
Stainless steel TIG welding is preferred, especially for sanitary piping in a food production facility.
Knowledge of Lock out-Tag Out procedures.

Safe operation and maintenance of all equipment (forklift/scissor lift, exhaust systems, lab equipment, conveyor systems, automated packaging, bottling, canning, mixing systems, coffee roasters, coffee granulators, etc.) Knowledge of safety for electric eyes, limit switches, computer touch screens, interfaces, drive-in coolers, etc.
Requirements
Skilled at troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment in a Food/ Beverage environment.
Familiar with FDA manufacturing standards (GMPs) required for producing beverages, and following procedures in compliance with Quality Assurance Standards.
A proven understanding of electrical circuits (controls and power) 12volts -3 phase 460 volts, Troubleshooting motors, Pneumatic switches, Relays, transformers Experienced with Variable Frequency Drives and their configuration is strongly desired.
Being familiar or experienced with Programmed Logic Controllers is a huge plus!
Experience with industrial compressors and their maintenance, plumbing for water, and compressed air is also a huge plus!
Must have experience with steam boilers, heat exchangers, and steam-related equipment.
Must possess good organizational and record-keeping skills.
Must have a mechanical inclination.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and electronics.
Must have the ability to troubleshoot electrical.
Welding and fabrication skills.
