Validation Engineer

Job Description

What we need:

The SPBD Tianjin R&D team is seeking a validation engineer who is excited about working on hardware bench validation test for Opamp, interface chip and Flash applications. You will support the development and Mass-product of standards products. Excellent communication skills and technical knowledge are required as you will work across geographies both internally and in support of our global teams. We’re looking for someone eager to learn, ready to hit the ground running. If you like problem-solving, analog IC validation and enjoy hands-on engineering teamwork that spans across different geographies, we’d like to hear from you.

Validation Engineer Overview:

Seeking an individual to work on analog IC validation. A successful candidate will have strong desire and ability to work in a technically challenging environment with other top performers to continue Renesas’s development of industry leading standards products IC’s.

This is an opportunity to contribute at a high level to the technical and commercial success of the corporation. To succeed, you will need to combine deep technical understanding of standards analog products and customer systems. You will have critical input to mass-product. Your ability to work across functional groups through formal communication and direct interaction is critical to success. The position requires significant technical experience beyond hardware and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with FAE’s or customer directly to provide failure analysis in support.

  • Participate in validation activities to demonstrate product performance and capability.

  • Development and validate evaluation board and related layout PCB.

  • Validate new IC design at board level, write IC test report.

  • Write product datasheet, application notes, user manual and other documents.

Qualifications

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering (or relevant discipline).

  • Relevant Hardware/Software experience in design environment.

  • Basic knowledge with analog and digital circuits.

  • Good communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical subjects in a confident and clear way.

  • Familiar with the use of laboratory instruments including network analyzers, oscilloscopes and waveform generators.

  • Familiar with Python, C or other programming language.

  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
