Transmission Line Design Engineer

POWER Engineers is currently seeking a Mid-Level Transmission Line Design Engineer to work in the Power Delivery Underground Transmission Line Department in our Foxborough, Massachusetts office.

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of underground transmission line design for new lines, relocations and upgrades. Remote work is possible.

Required Education/Experience:

  • 4+ years of industry experience in overhead transmission engineering, underground transmission engineering or underground distribution engineering.

  • BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) or BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering) degree from an ABET-accredited university.

  • Engineering in Training (EIT) certification.

  • Willingness to pursue Electrical or Civil Professional Engineering (PE) certification in the United States.

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office software suite.

  • Proficiency in preparing technical deliverables through previous career opportunities.

  • The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.

Desired Education/Experience:

  • Experience in cable/conductor selection from desired line ratings

  • Experience in underground or overhead line/feeder routing

  • In-person project site reviews

  • Electrical or Civil Professional Engineering (PE) certification in the United States.

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $75-$90K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
