Training & Development Specialist I

Full Time- Salaried Exempt

Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000

Position Overview

The Training & Development Specialist is responsible for delivering training materials and facilitating courses that support operational excellence and continuous improvement within the organization. This role interacts with Talent & Development, Business Optimization, and Field Leadership teams to research, write, and deliver training publications and related documents. As part of the Talent & Development team, the Training & Development Specialist builds relationships with field leaders and cross-functional work teams, with a focus on strong, professional communication, content delivery, comprehensive document creation, and packaging information that is curtailed to the specific audience. Essential Responsibilities

  • Facilitates and delivers group and individual instruction and training, covering a range of technical, operational, and/or leadership areas both virtually and in-person.

  • Utilizes strong data analysis and feedback delivery to determine success of work completed by the department, including but not limited to training programs, operational processes, updates and completion rates.

  • Drives teamwork and engagement through effective interpersonal communication skills in small and large group settings to develop, validate, and review deliverables; this includes interfacing with the field teams, project teams, support teams, subject matter experts, and training personnel to solidify understanding and clarity of training materials while promoting an inclusive environment.

  • Develops and delivers field training, including, but not limited to, user guides, help documentation, quick reference guides, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, instructional videos, and leadership development tools.

  • Coordinates with the key stakeholders and operational training representatives to ensure delivery and completeness of training programs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in managing, designing, developing, coordinating and conducting training programs, including e-learning creation. Preferred experience with Videography or instructional design.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience delivering Virtual Training and/or working with remote teams.

  • Possess intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. to facilitate the exceptional production of training materials and presentations.

  • High degree of professional confidence with strong interpersonal skills and credibility with effective presence, and expert written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for communicating training concepts at all levels.

  • Demonstrated experience organizing and managing multiple training projects with on time completion.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining a healthy workload and meeting all deliverables on time.

Working Conditions

Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently. Regular travel via plane and automobile may be required, including overnight stays (up to 25% of the time).
