Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Competitive Service Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is with US Army 1st Special Forces Command, OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING GENERAL FT Liberty NC. Responsibilities Serves as Program Manager and Lead Action Officer for the CTO Office. Serves as primary POC for safety, internal management control, and telephone/communications. Manages the CTO’s Office in discovering emerging, maturing, and current technologies that can impact the Command. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Oral Communication Technical Competence Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in leadership and emerging technologies to address complex integration challenges, exercises wide discretion in the achievement of missions based upon an intuitive knowledge of the CTO's mission and goals, and interfaces with higher level technical experts in emerging technologies (including, but not limited to the fields of Information Technology (IT), Robotics, Quantum Computing, UAS, Cyber Security, Digital Force Protection, and Command and Control Operations.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
