Paychex Strategic Accounts Consultant III in United States

Overview

Sells HCM products and services to new and existing clients within a designated strategic account vertical. Acts as primary point of contact and key advocate for specific strategic account partnerships for lead generation and referral source development. Assumes responsibility for driving business results for each Account within the assigned portfolio and ensures that applicable sales requirements/responsibilities outlined in the strategic account referral/marketing agreements are satisfied.

Responsibilities

  • Prospects for end users/new clients, referral sources, vendors or complementary solutions within specified Strategic Account Partnerships and/or vertical markets using applicable communication tools including – but not limited to- telephone, email, direct mail, events, or other marketing programs as directed by strategic accounts leadership.

  • Presents Paychex products and services virtually to final decision makers and new client/end users within the prospect universe to grow client base within specified strategic accounts. Presentations may be in conjunction with sales partners

  • Builds strong relationships with specified strategic accounts’ clients and vertical referral sources to extract referrals to new clients, solicit testimonials, identify upsell opportunities, and partner with applicable service areas as needed to address any client service issues.

  • Provides regular updates, attends internal calls/meetings with appropriate strategic account strategy team members for the purpose of reviewing activity, referrals, sales, and other key metrics and participate in external business reviews and meetings with headquarters/referral source contacts. May facilitate education-based training relating to Paychex products and services to clients, prospects, or referral sources as requested.

  • Meets or exceeds sales/revenue objectives through new client growth or increased revenue from existing clients. Ensures an effective new client/product onboarding experience by accurately submitting appropriate required new business paperwork.

  • Develops and maintains advanced technical knowledge of Paychex systems, product offerings, and processes, as well as industry and account specific knowledge, to act as subject matter expert for specified Strategic Account verticals.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma - Required

  • Bachelor's Degree - Preferred

  • 1 year of experience in Sales or relationship management.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay for this position is $50,000 annually + commission. Please keep in mind that this is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
