The Sr. Workday Integration Developer supports and maintains Automation Anywhere’s (AAI) finance systems. In this customer-focused position, this role will be hands-on and primarily focused on expertise in the Workday cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform. They are responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Workday configurations and customizations to meet AAI’s needs.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Our team seeks an outgoing, curious Integration Engineer to work in a rapid development environment with multiple internal customers throughout the business. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with an understanding of Workday Finance technology tools and expertise in enterprise application integrations.

Responsibilities include

  • In-depth knowledge of Workday configurations, extensions, and integrations

  • Experience with Workday Studio, including Report Builder, Workday Query Language (WQL), and Business Process Framework (BPF)

  • Contribute to the design and evolution of system architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business needs

  • Experience with data integration tools and techniques for connecting Workday to other systems

  • Solid understanding of security principles and best practices within Workday

  • Experience with managing Workday deployments and upgrades

  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

  • Developing and maintaining custom reports and dashboards, Managing security administration for Finance

  • Staying up to date on the latest Workday features and functionality

  • Mentoring junior Workday developers

  • Partnering with stakeholders from Finance, IT, Sales, Operations, Product Management, and Engineering teams to support a new product, process, or system

  • Leverage business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements through Integrations and Automations.

  • Resolve support tickets in integrations, Workday-related technical issues,security, and reporting while supporting the team in other areas as needed.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience of XML transformation with XSLT

  • Experience working with various document transfer formats such as EDI and ISO

  • Experience working with REST & SOAP API.

  • Experience with developing applications using Workday Extend

  • Experience in developing enterprise application integrations using middleware tools such as Mulesoft or similar.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and Javascript.

  • In depth understanding of system architecture

  • Thorough knowledge of Software Development Life cycle and QA processes

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, HR professionals, and IT staff

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively document and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences; ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization

  • Remain composed in a dynamic environment and communicate successfully with all levels of team members

  • Knowledge of ERP and ability to support the workday financial system

  • Experience supporting end-users and troubleshooting system issues

  • Team player who embraces change and thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Possess a good understanding of Records to Report (Accounting, Reporting, Consolidations, reconciliations)

  • Good understanding of Procure to Pay and Order to Cash processes, accounting practices, and SOX compliance. 

Preferred Skills:

  • At least 8+ years of experience in Workday development and configurationsupporting a Finance/Accounting organization.

  • Experience with Workday Financials, Payroll, Adaptive, RevPro and Salesforceis a plus

  • Experience in creating simple, matrix and composite reports with calculated fields in workday financials

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
