At our site in Zhangjiagang, we are currently looking for a(n) Sr. Plant Engineer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all process issues from maintenance aspect and in close cooperation with the operation team by being responsible for

    Develop maintenance strategy including corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance and process optimization.

    Optimization of equipment and process development.

    Ensure that process and equipment documentation follow Wacker internal and national standards.

  • Take and join involved investment &maintenance project feasibility study, engineering, construction, commissioning and project documentation management.

  • Support the project/engineering manager with regard to various chemical/process engineering issues or mechanical/equipment engineering issues.

  • Actively participate in HAZOP or other PSM reviews and regularly risk analyses, provide necessary inputs

  • Responsible for budgeting for investments and technical spending and its appropriate use in alignment with plant engineering manager.

  • Together with plant team and EHSS team responsible to assure safe operation of the equipment and make sure all national and internal regulations are obeyed;

  • Coaching to workshop team to establish a high quality and cost-efficient plant maintenance.

  • Working together with the other team on projects and maintenance issues.

Qualifications Required:

  • Familiar with chemical unit operations, equipment's and machinery used in chemical industry

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, official specifications, regulations and technical instructions

  • Familiar with the principals and procedures of project engineering practices and project management

  • Effective communication skills in English (oral and writing) are expected. Basic knowledge of German would be helpful

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, knowledge of SAP would be helpful

  • Strong and effective communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

  • Good organizational and analytical abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities

  • Strong spirit of teamwork

  • Bachelor degree with 8 years above related working exp.
