About Our Team

HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) (https://developer.hashicorp.com/hcp) is a self-service, fully managed platform that offers HashiCorp products as a service to automate infrastructure across any cloud using the latest best practices. The HCP Identity & Access Management (IAM) (https://developer.hashicorp.com/hcp/docs/hcp/create-account) engineering teams are responsible for building user-friendly, secure, scalable solutions that help with efficient management of identities and access control within the cloud platform.

About This Role

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Build high-quality and performant user interfaces that drive IAM specific functionality on the HCP portal (https://portal.cloud.hashicorp.com/)

  • Collaborate with Product , Design and other internal teams to shape the best UI flows

  • Innovate and evolve our frontend tooling and ecosystem to make the experience of writing high quality code as effortless and enjoyable as possible

  • Support the applications you build by developing Observability best practices and being a part of an on-call rotation

  • Work on a product oriented team where you think big, ship small, measure, and iterate

  • Develop an understanding of our various products (Terraform, Vault, Consul etc)

  • Be a part of a distributed team (we’re in NA and Europe)

You may be a good fit if some of the following apply:

  • Experienced with modern browser based development (Javascript/ES7, HTML, CSS)

  • Familiar with modern Javascript tooling such as Webpack, Storybook, React, Angular, Ember

  • Familiar with micro-service and single page architectures

  • Familiar with web accessibility guidelines, accessibility tools, and assistive technologies

  • Familiar with engineering practices at scale such as shared tooling and platforms, design systems, inner-source/open-source contributions, and collaboration within guilds or pods

  • You consider yourself a “product engineer” and enjoy contributing to the overall product vision, being a strong advocate for the customer, and immersing yourself in data

  • You’re kind, empathetic, curious, pragmatic, and excited about working with diverse groups of people across a company

  • Bonus: Familiarity with IAM concepts or past experience working with IAM systems.

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.

The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:

$176,000—$207,000 USD

The base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:

$161,300—$189,800 USD

The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:

$146,600—$172,500 USD
