Honeywell Specialist, Sales Engineering - Hospitality, Networking and Bluetooth Solutions - REMOTE in United States

As a Specialist, Sales Engineering here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in providing pre- and post-installation, architectural and technical sales support and expertise to hospitality customers in the field. You will be responsible for designing/troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, planning or verifying equipment installations and upgrades, and providing training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of our hospitality locking and credentialing solutions.

Your strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and customer-focused approach will be essential in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving the success of our business. You will report directly to one of Onity’s Sales Managers and you'll work out of your home office or local Honeywell office.

You will also be working very closely with both Product Management, Marketing and Engineering teams alongside the Sales organization. This role requires frequent travel to customer locations and may involve working in challenging environments. In this role, you will impact the success of our customers by delivering high-quality guidance or support while ensuring the optimal performance of our products in the field. The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $105,000-$130,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $115,000-$140,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acquires, maintains and exhibits in-depth technical product and service knowledge

  • Conceptualizes and facilitates integration of Onity solutions into customer systems and configurations and provide architectural, technical support and expertise to customers in the field

  • Design or troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.As needed, be prepared to lead troubleshooting activities until installation is complete with focus on repeatable and consistent execution

  • Verify equipment installations and upgrades as identified

  • Provide training to customers on product use and proactive maintenance

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues and improve solution performance

  • Facilitates interaction with engineering, product management regularly sharing VOC and best practices

  • Gathers, summarizes and analyzes data to ensure continuous improvement activities are identified

  • Proficient in handling customer matters to ensure the more complex issues are escalated to the appropriate level of management for solution decisions.

  • Ability to travel at least 60% of the time

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering or computer science

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales/field engineering or a related technical role
