We’re searching for a Toronto-based Software Developer to join our Global R&D team, so that we can ensure the successful design, development, and validation of product backlog items, meeting our technical and functional goals. The Software Developer will collaborate with team members, engage in code review processes, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to technical leadership to help achieve operational excellence and innovation at RLDatix.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

  • Engage in design and review processes both as an author and reviewer to ensure high-quality development

  • Perform verification and validation of product backlog items, ensuring they are complete before handover

  • Review and debug code related to product backlog items, ensuring quality and functionality

  • Troubleshoot customer production issues to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.

  • Produce and maintain relevant documentation, making it accessible to colleagues and stakeholders

  • Collaborate with Scrum Squad to ensure ‘Definition of Done’ is achieved for all development items

  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to both Scrum Squad members and the broader project team

What Kind of Things We’re Most Interested in You Having

  • Experience as a software developer with strong proficiency in Microsoft, AWS, SQL, Python, C#/.NET technologies

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • Proven experience in collaborating within a multi-disciplinary Agile Squad

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to gather and assess information effectively

  • Excellent communication skills with a knack for producing and reviewing technical documentation and presenting ideas clearly

  • Ability to lead and influence both within the Scrum Squad and the wider R&D team, taking an innovative approach to problem-solving
