Liberty Latin America Senior Technician, Route Construction in United States

What's The Role

As an Outside Plant (OSP) Hybrid Fiber-Coax (HFC) Technician, your primary responsibility will involve working on the outside plant facilities. you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance and proactive maintenance of our telecommunication infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity for our customers at all times.

This position is only open to local candidates

What You'll Do

Your primary functions will include:

  • Install, maintain, and repair hybrid fibre- coaxial distribution systems, including fiber-optic and coaxial cable components.

  • Perform inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of OSP HFC networks to identify, resolve signal quality issues, connectivity problems, and other technical impairments.

  • Utilizes special tools and equipment to measure signal strength, noise levels, and other parameters to ensure optimal network performance.

  • Coordinate with the engineering and design teams to implement network expansions, upgrades, and new installations according to industry standards.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe work environment.

  • Keep abreast of new technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to OSP HFC networks to continuously enhance your skillset and knowledge.

  • To provide excellent customer service by addressing the service concerns of customers in a professional and courteous manner.

What You'll Need

  • Four years’ experience as a Telecommunications Technician

  • High School Diploma

  • Six CSEC general proficiency subjects inclusive of English Language, Mathematics, Electrical Installation
