We are seeking a senior manager to lead our Systems Security team and manage the day-to-day services to keep our enterprise safe, all while keeping an eye toward future-ready technology This team engineers and deploys security solutions across the enterprise, both on-premises and in the public cloud.
As the manager, this individual would oversee personnel as well as strategic initiatives and collaboration with other business units on critical security initiatives and incident responses. The ideal candidate brings hands-on technical knowledge, outstanding communication skills, and a “team-first” attitude ready to dig in when problems must be solved. This team is moving toward a cloud-centric security model, and candidates will be expected to bring an innovative mindset as we move our security environment toward this model.
This position can be based to work out of any Jack Henry office or remote from any US location. Salary range for this position is $120-190k, depending on candidate experience and geographic location.
What you’ll be responsible for:
Lead a team of highly technical engineers and provide technical guidance and feedback.
Manage the security of information and establishes security systems, policies and procedures to prevent system compromise or infiltration.
Develop and implement standards for appropriate security checkpoints and encryption methods.
Develop policies & procedures to ensure the security of all solutions.
Investigate, recommend, and monitor implementation of new security products and services. Act as a central point of contact for internal and external customers on security issues.
Participate in product Change Control Boards and work with other departments to ensure security of products and services.
Monitor and evaluate internal and external security threats. Research security threats and implement appropriate changes to the security program to prevent data assets from being compromised.
Coordinate security-related reviews. Follow up on security findings from these and other third-party reviews.
May perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in information technology.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on information or network security experience.
Must have experience with endpoint security, encryption, data security, and/or access management.
Must have cloud experience (Azure, AWS, GCP, or private cloud).
Must have experience with any or all of the following: infrastructure-as-code, automation, continuous integration/deployment.
Previous management or supervision experience required.
Ability to travel up to 5% for team meetings, conferences, and training events.
What would be nice for you to have:
Bachelor’s Degree.
CISSP, CISM or ISSMP certification.
Experience with common EDR platforms such as Cortex, Crowdstrike, or SentinelOne.
Experience implementing a zero-trust security model.
Familiarity with information security concepts and frameworks such as defense in depth, zero trust networking, or the Mitre framework.
Experience with security and governance on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience in the financial services industry or other highly regulated environments.
