Role Summary:
The Senior Auditor is responsible for performing internal audits and other projects that helps the business achieve its objectives through identifying control weaknesses or process improvements, under the general direction of the Manager of Internal Audit.
Responsibilities:
Conduct interviews and walkthroughs with process owners to gain understanding of key operational, financial and IT areas.
Articulate key risk in business processes, assess control design and advise business owners on control improvements.
Develop audit programs and perform audit tests against those programs.
Prepare clear and organized audit work papers in accordance with corporate audit and IIA standards and ensure relevant control activities are evaluated to assess operating effectiveness of controls across critical cycles. Evaluate test results formulating conclusions and recommendations about the internal controls, risks, and efficiency of operations.
Prepare comprehensive audit reports and focus on providing insightful and value-added recommendations to stakeholders.

Communicate the results of the audit, both verbally and in a written format, to business process owners.
Assure the execution of action plans are timely and effective by following up with management.
Manage timelines, deliverables, and reporting.
Train, develop and mentor staff from a professional, technical accounting and auditing perspective.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or Business Management required.
A minimum of three years of experience performing internal and/or external audits.
One professionally recognized certification (or working towards), such as the CPA, CIA, CFE or CISA.
Innovative, out of the box thinker and adaptable to a changing environment.
Strong project management, time management, and prioritization skills.
Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
The individual should have the ability to work independently and in a team environment with critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to effectively lead a discussion or meeting.
Travel:
- Travel required 15%.
