The role

Location: US East Coast

Reporting to Global Head of Marketing Technology & Operations (based in the US)

SoftwareOne, a global software and cloud technology solutions provider has embarked on a marketing transformation journey. As a critical part of this, we are now looking for a Senior Global Marketing Analytics Manager to work directly with our Marketing Leadership Team to maximize marketing impact on one of our core channels , while we modernize processes and improve the site s content and user experience.

The Marketing Analytics Manager is responsible for tracking marketing KPI attainment and analysing performance of marketing campaigns. As a key member of the Marketing Management & Operations team, the Marketing Analytics Manager defines, builds, and manages the reporting and dashboards that allow the marketing and sales teams to quickly understand what was delivered by marketing activities, focusing on:

  • Tracking execution against targets for contact acquisition, engagement, and opportunity creation

  • Analyzing campaign performance and ROI to identify gaps and opportunities for optimization

  • Reporting progress to Marketing and Sales leadership on a weekly basis

  • Training marketing staff on how to understand and use analytics

    Key responsibilities:

    Reporting & Dashboarding

  • Evolve our foundational reporting and analytics program, including developing easy-to-maintain reports and dashboards that highlight Marketing's key performance indicators, as well as operating metrics.

  • Understand and deliver the underlying insights and the story the data is telling us, leading with recommendations for optimizations.

    Data Strategy & Campaign Tracking

  • Optimize and enhance our uniform campaign management/tracking standards for media mix strategies and tactics, directly managing and maintaining the standards across the marketing organization . Evolve the data strategy for media (earned, owned, and paid - digital & traditional), email and web tracking.

  • Identify and communicate necessary data layer requirements as identified and dictated by Marketing tactics and execution.

    Customer Journey Analytics & Media Attribution

  • Build and analyze multi-attribution, full funnel reporting for marketing campaigns. Provide a 360-degree view of the impact of marketing campaigns: from net new to referrals, revenue/margin analysis, etc. Help us understand the customer journey holistically.

    Advanced Analytics & Modeling

  • Develop a vision and roadmap to advance modeling and predictive analytics within Marketing and then execute your roadmap, as necessary.

  • Provide oversight and governance pertaining to targeting and segmentation to ensure that we are leveraging consistently across our ecosystem and staying aligned with other departments. As such this role will help represent marketing as one of our core data stewards.

    Business Acumen & Insights Generation

  • Understand the team's goals and objectives and what it is the team is trying to accomplish . Listen to the questions the team is asking and really pinpoint the heart of the challenge/opportunity. From there, explore our data sets - go off-roading and survey the uncharted territories. Then, report back with your findings. What do you learn that can be used to challenge the status quo/pinpoint new, testable opportunities?

  • Be a creative problem-solver that helps Marketing understand, measure, test, and report on how it drives business insights and outcomes .

What we need to see from you

Your skills:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing , Business, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience. Higher learning and additional certifications are a plus

  • 5+ years hands-on marketing analytics experience, including data acquisition, reporting, visualization , and analysis

  • Deep expertise with Excel (you can whip up reports and analyses in no time) – SQL preferred .

  • Professional experience leveraging PowerBI

  • Subject matter expertise with Google Analytics (you know where everything is and can create custom dashboards in a flash)

  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with other martech reporting & analytics tools are a nice bonus, too

  • 4 + years of experience with CRM (Dynamics/Salesforce) and Marketo , preferred candidates will have API integration experience

  • Some demonstrated experience with multi-touch attribution models to evaluate and determine campaign contribution and effectiveness.

  • HUGE plus if you have modeling and predictive analytics experience

  • Must be able to talk business. Provide insights into what is working and what is not , then provide informed guidance on how to evolve and improve

    Target compensation for this role will be $100-130 USD (mix of base salary and bonus). Actual offers may be higher or lower than this range and will be determined based on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) candidates’ qualifications, experience, education, and work location.
