What You Will Do:

The Store- Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for increasing the top line revenue stream of the PPD Brands by driving sales in SalonCentric stores and increasing market penetration in partnership with the Director of Business Development.

The Store- Senior Business Development Manager will partner with the Director of Business Development, the Store- Senior Business Development Team, Store Education and Omni BOLD Teams on strategic initiatives with respect to in-store activations, product launches, promotions, internal/external customer education and digital initiatives. This role will partner and collaborate with SalonCentric business partners to strengthen the relationships of the PPD Brands with SalonCentric and our stylist community. The Store – Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for sales performance within their assigned Region, developing brand strategies and championing brand resources to gain incremental growth. The Store- Senior Business Development Manager will foster omni-channel partnerships with the Street team within their assigned Region to ensure consistency with the PPD Brands across all channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and foster relationships with SalonCentric Business partners, internal teams, Store teams and Brand teams. Advocate for the needs of our internal and external guests in regards to promotional recommendations, visual merchandising, marketing and initiatives.

  • Support Director of Business Development and team in identifying opportunities for brand and account growth and develop strategies to increase market share.

  • Utilizing PPD team Goals and Objectives, collaborate with SalonCentric business partners to develop long-term measurable plans targeting sales and market penetration within their region.

  • Plan and conduct strategic, purposeful market visits designed to educate store teams around business acumen, selling behaviors and brand identity.

  • Collaborate with Business Development and PPD Education and L&D teams to develop and implement key Brand resources to drive sales and education in stores.

  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of how the PPD Brands and SalonCentric operate to best support the growth within the beauty industry.

  • Responsible for forecasting and managing region specific incentives and T&E yearly budgets.

  • Travel up to 3 weeks per month within their respective region.

    Required Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree or commensurate professional experience is required.

  • Positive motivating leader with the desire and ability to inspire others to engage, perform and create a work environment which is open, honest, collaborative and accountable through clear, consistent communication that is inclusive and influences teams and partners.

  • Extensive experience in sales/business development within a big box retail and/or chain model, preferably with beauty, professional salon products or retail background with Store Management experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and respond to business changes and the competitive landscape within their region. Readily shifts roles and priorities to meet these changes and gain market share.

  • Works collaboratively with both internal and external clients. Treating them with respect, anticipating their needs, and providing solutions when needed. Establishes and builds trust across business functions, levels and departments to facilitate achievement of shared goals.

  • Contagious enthusiasm for the Professional Beauty Industry with a high level of confidence and strong presentation skills.

  • Ability and interest in extensive travel (up to 75%) and work weekends as needed. Attendance at certain Brand and SalonCentric events throughout the year is required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Power Point, Excel and Word.
