AON Senior Broker - Large Property Accounts in United States

Aon Is Looking For a Senior Property Broker

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Property Group within Aon Risk Solutions, in Chicago or Bloomington, MN. As a Senior Broker, you will report directly to the Team Leader.

Our property brokering team is looking to add a Broker to the group! You will have the opportunity to develop and implement strategic risk management solutions for large, global clients. This includes the design, marketing and service management of property insurance programs in numerous industry sectors.

Your role will be instrumental in the analysis of clients’ exposures to identify and mitigate risk as well as responsible for the coordination of the placement and day-to-day activities on accounts.

This role is open to individuals in the Chicago or Bloomington, MN area and the role is hybrid.

Hybrid - in office 2 days a week.

Your Impact As a Senior Broker

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Property insurance marketplace, products and services, with strong business relationships with key insurance underwriters

  • Lead the strategy and design of for large and/or heavily catastrophic exposed accounts, including single placement, layered and global accounts

  • Responsible for all aspects of client service for assigned book of business including, billing, policy collection, review and transmittal in accordance with established departmental service standards with support from Associate Brokers

  • Retain and grow assigned clients/prospects

  • Facilitate the compilation of submission information in conjunction with appropriate external client

  • contacts and internal Aon clients

  • Provide broking status and continuous support and service to clients during entire broking process and entire period of engagement by client (this is a continuous process)

  • Demonstrate ability with all elements of client presentations including technical writing and verbal presentation skills.

  • Utilize effective negotiation skills.

  • Drive utilization of all available technology throughout broking process and client service process

  • Understand the causes of E&O and avoid and adopt practices to reduce exposure

  • Replicate effective products/solutions and develop broking opportunities

  • Work in conjunction with Brokers and Associate Brokers on various daily activities including underwriter and client interaction

    You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

    Required Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of Property insurance broking experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Ability to build relationships

  • Active P&C License

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

    Pay Transparency Laws:

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150,000 to $175,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, IL. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

    This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
