Vertex Aerospace LLC, a V2X company, global supply chain is seeking mid-level Material Program Manager (MPM).

Duties and Responsibilities:

This MPM will support the Cobra Dane program. This individual will collaborate closely with the Sr. Material Program Manager within the business area and will need to be a strong leader with demonstrated project management skills and be directly accountable for ensuring overall supplier performance. The candidate must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives, and be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management, including supplier management. You will serve as a leader for all programs’ supply chain activities and will be the liaison between the Program Manager(s), IPT’s, other functional leads, and the Supply Chain organization. You will also be responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of all program material strategies, budgeting and forecasting, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives. Responsibilities span from the front end of the business SCM activities through contract closure. We need an individual who will be able to exert influence and have an effect on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the program and the program IPT team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Risk and Opportunity management, creating, managing, and executing material planning and strategies, and ensuring compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams. Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements. Developing and leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and bases of estimates (BOE’s).

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • 4+ years of applicable experience acquired from working in the government and commercial defense markets

  • Demonstrated performance against financial budgets and forecasts

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain and related systems along with material procurement

  • Project management skills

  • Proven ability to be a self-starter and quick learner, capable of supporting efforts to achieve positive results

  • Ability to lead in an IPT environment

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)

  • Ability to convert business area and customer requirements into executable strategies

  • Ability to review and edit Subcontractor Statements of Works

  • Excellent risk management methodologies and problem-solving techniques

Desired Qualifications/Skills

  • Proficiency with SAP software to report

  • Working knowledge of V2X Supply Chain policies and procedures, or equivalent

  • Ability to apply sound judgment to problem solving.

  • Ability to develop strong business relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, JD, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field. C.P.M or A.P.P through ISM is a plus, or certification in NCMA. Master's degree is a plus
