The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Part-Time Scientific Content Writer (Audio/Podcast Production) to support our government customer located in Atlanta, Georgia.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • We are looking for a Scientific Content Writer who can write Podcast scripts and interview questions for the Centers for Disease Control's (CDC) Emerging Infectious Disease Journal.

  • Voice talent is unnecessary as this position is focused on script writing, interview question development, speech writing and print materials such as the EID Journal Annual Report, one-pagers, posters, reports, key messages and talking points.

  • Additionally this position may require support in the form of written and visual content for social media, web-based platforms, and logs, as well as training and educational materials and PowerPoint Presentations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

    Bachelors Degree

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Interpreting and translating scientific data into easily understood materials and the use of plain language for all public communication messages and materials.

  • Collaboration with Scientists, Subject Matter Experts, and partners to develop materials.

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    Experience writing scripts for Scientific audio content

    REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • US Citizenship.

  • Must be able to obtain an maintain active Tier 3/IT II clearance.
