Kelsey-Seybold Clinic RN Supervisor II- Hematology/Oncology in United States

Responsibilities

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical responsibilities of Hematology/Oncology Clinic, Radiation Oncology Clinic, and/or Infusion Center operations. The Nursing Supervisor should be knowledgeable in all areas of the Cancer Services Department. This position will work on a multidisciplinary team and is accountable for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care. This person will play an active role in Cancer Center accreditation processes

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $ 95,111 - $117,494 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required: Graduate of an approved RN program

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience

Required: 5-7 years clinical RN experience

2+ years oncology, infusion, or equivalent specialty experience

2+ years of supervisor/management experience and/or related leadership role

Preferred: Ambulatory clinic experience

License(s)

Required: Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas

Preferred: N/A

Special Skills

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Assoc.

Completion of ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Course or Radiation Therapy Certificate Course within 3

months of employment

Completion of Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) within 24 months of employment

Preferred: Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN

Other

Required: Ability to use mechanical devices, such as those used in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, oxygen

administration, and intravenous pumps

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

May be required to travel and/or cross-cover other KSC Cancer Center locations

Preferred: Experience with EPIC, Area, and/or Beacon

Strong IV/vascular access skills to include accessing port-a-caths
