This is an opportunity to join a growing, dynamic and responsible company that fosters the development of our employees. We are seeking a Quality Systems Manager. Position will be based in Louisville or remote.

This role will have divisional responsibilities including: Management and Administration of ORR Protection Systems Quality Management System. Included within these responsibilities is training Associates as needed including but not limited to new hires. Additionally, will manage special projects as assigned. These activities will be facilitated by performing duties personally and through coordination with other associates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All team members must embody the company mission to provide protection for people, property, and the environment in all aspects of their job.

  • Management and Administration of the company’s Quality Management System.

  • Analyze data and other feedback to make recommendations for continuous improvement to the Quality system. Communicate with Division and Corporate management and personnel in both the reporting and facilitation of activities.

  • Coordinate and conduct Internal and External Audits at each facility including required reports and related documentation.

  • Create and update Quality documentation as required for changes in the business, changes in ISO standards or continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Drive Quality Improvement initiatives, monitor and report on Quality objectives.

  • Monitor and report on incidents, continuous improvement suggestions and non-conformance reports.

  • Includes follow-up to ensure preventive and corrective actions have been accomplished.

  • Develop professional training programs for internal needs.

  • Training programs will be created for both existing and new associates.

  • Train and develop personnel supporting the Quality systems.

  • Responsible for the overall inspection, measuring and test equipment program.

  • Support and develop associates that report to this role.

  • Responsible for conforming to and ensuring Associates are knowledgeable and conforming to the company’s Quality system.

  • Conform to company’s safety program and initiatives.

  • Will be responsible for controlling costs with prescribed budgets.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Post secondary education in related technical or business field.

  • Minimum one year experience with ISO 9001 Quality systems and/or formal training.

  • Experience in either the Fire Protection industry or construction related service business experience preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work effectively with associates.

  • Ability to communicate with Divisional and Corporate management and personnel in the reporting of other facilitation activities for which he/she has responsibility.

  • Ability to develop personnel supporting this position.

  • Ability to understand the technical aspects of the product lines and applications as necessary.

  • Understanding of ISO 9001 standard and ORR’s Quality systems.

  • Other knowledge, skills and abilities include: mechanical aptitude, strong MS Office and/or Google Workspace skills, interpersonal skills, organization skills, communication skills, cost accounting budgeting skills, customer service skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must have sufficient skills to understand basic accounting and finance principles.

  • Work requires the application of theories and principles of a technological or professional field to the full range of problems and issues characteristic of the field.

  • Work requires judgement, analytical ability, and creativity in investigating moderately complex problems or situations, analyzing information and recommending solutions.

    Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • Typically work environment is in the office setting or remote.

  • Travel to branch offices at times required.

  • Occasionally will be required to work in the field to visit customer’s facilities.

  • This position visits various industrial facilities and may encounter areas containing industrial hazards.

  • Moderate lifting may be required.

  • May be involved in field activities and encounter the need to climb ladders or be in awkward positions in accomplishing field activities.
