POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Manager is responsible for managing everything related to quality management systems, GMPs, management review, and certifications of Quality, Environment, Food Safety, and others that are considered necessary, ensuring regulatory compliance and compliance to the standards. The role will take care of keeping the entire Documentation System updated and current and supporting the heads of the different departments of the company in related matters, improvements, and training.

Responsible for regional quality compliance in Spain.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Manager

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage and keep updated quality, environmental, food safety and other systems that are considered necessary, and track site quality metrics and guide the site to constantly improve.

  • Establish / define new procedures and instructions according to needs and help provide and track training.

  • Carry out internal audits to verify compliance with the requirements of the reference standards, support area owners in the root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions for non-conformances and ensure effectiveness.

  • Assist and support second party audits by Clients and at Suppliers, ensuring non-conformances are thoroughly resolved to support customer qualifications of the site, and to strengthen our supply chain.

  • Give support to the technical department and commercial area to respond to requests from clients, and manage customer requests such as documentation, questionnaires, and quality agreements.

  • Host and coordinate support for third party audits of the different standards, to maintain / obtain the appropriate certifications.

  • Participate in the Plant's continuous improvement process and identify and lead improvement projects.

  • Manage and be responsible for the customer complaint and client claims process and for Non-Conformities in manufacturing, testing, and in general

The Ideal Candidate

Desired Background

  • 2 years of experience in quality management systems and food safety. 3+ years is a plus.

  • College degree.

  • English level B2

  • Food safety training.

  • Location: Spain, Les Borges

  • Master related to quality management (desirable).

  • Experience working in multinational environments (desirable).

  • 1 year experience in food production plants (desirable).
