Job Description
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to execute manual and automated regression test plans/scripts. The quality assurance analyst will work under the supervision of a Team Lead, allowing them team to gain hands on knowledge of best practices in the software testing industry while supporting client needs. This position will be full-time and remote .
This opportunity exists within our CAI’s Neurodiverse Solutions business unit, all candidates in consideration of positions within CAI’s Neurodiverse Solutions must be able to self-disclose that they identify as neurodivergent.
Due to our end client and project work, this role does not offer visa sponsorship.
What You’ll Do
Execution of manual and automated regression test plans and scripts
Utilization of defect tracking tool(s) to document, track, and status defects for various software applications
Assist with review of defects and failures from automated regression testing and work with functional teams to document and perform root cause analysis for reported defects
Identify areas within existing manual test scenarios, scripts, and environment setup that would be candidates for automation
Read test scripts, manually execute test scripts, and test scenarios based on user stories, business requirements and technical specifications
Analyze the verification points within the test scenario to determine pass or fail
Utilize instruction set for setting up and configuring test environments
Assist teams with test design and automation for all types of testing, including system and regression testing
Collaborates with all other teams to assist, review, and govern Quality Assurance best practices
What You'll Need
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or relevant experience within related field
Basic computer skills (use of MS products; word, excel, outlook, collaboration tools, etc.) – required
Familiarity with automation tools and technologies
Experience in software testing - quality assurance (minimal to moderate level of proficiency required)
Preferred:
Experience working with Agile software development methodologies
Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and Software Testing Lifecyle (STLC) throughout all phases
Experience with database technologies testing -SQL query building, ETL concepts, cloud-based data solutions, and business intelligence solutions
Experience in using Test Data Management
Experience with Jira
Experience with test automation in execution and development of test scripts and test scenarios
Program Coding/Scripting in Java script, Apex, Python, Visual Basic or similar languages
Familiarity with qTest and Tosca integration
Experience with test management tools
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person
