    We are seeking a talented Project Engineer APC to join our world-class Process Systems Engineering team at our Pilsen site. The successful candidate will help us design and maintain model predictive multivariable controllers and Advanced Process Control (APC) systems.

    Job Responsibilities

  • Handle process automation and optimization projects with a focus on APC

  • Develop new and maintain existing model-based controllers

  • Develop and maintain soft sensors based on simple regression equations or complex AI algorithms in cooperation with data scientists

  • Collaborate in projects

  • Execute feasibility studies

    Job Requirements

  • Young professional or with professional experience

  • Completed studies in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science and Engineering, Cybernetics, Process Control Engineering or Automation Engineering

  • Strong process modeling skills preferably in chemical or process engineering

  • Knowledge of classical control engineering; experience in model-based control is an advantage

  • Affinity for numbers, mathematical problem solving, data analysis, and algorithms

  • Independent and team-oriented way of working

  • Good communication and integration skills

  • Very good written and spoken English; German language skills advantageous but not required

  • Willingness to travel regularly to Burghausen or other Wacker Chemie AG sites

  • The initial training will take place over a period of two months at the Burghausen site; after that, the place of work is Pilsen (CZ)
