What we want

We're seeking a Program Coordinator II, to work collaboratively with the grant team to effectively oversee recruitment, monitoring, and implementation of a Principal Residency Program, an embedded component within a large-scale, federally-funded education research grant that supports school enhancement and turnaround [Research-based Strategies and Artificial Intelligence for School Enhancement: Turning Around Schools (RAISE)]. More specifically, responsibilities include developing and maintaining partnerships with school districts to i dentify eligible principal resident candidates , screen applicants, organize interviews, collaborate with M.Ed. program advisors and faculty, communicate with stakeholders, create and implement timeline to reach project objectives, support research pieces including participant consent, implementation and participant tracking, and administration of surveys/protocols, and support development and implementation of Think Tanks and Leadership Institutes.

Essential Duties/Tasks

PR Program Coordination - Develop and maintain partnerships with school districts to recruit eligible principal resident applicants (communication, provide project overview, facilitate district recruitment). Develop/initiate site authorization/MOUs with partnering school districts in which principal residents are embedded. Complete district application as needed. Collaborate with project team to support data collection. Create and implement timeline to reach project objectives. Plan and implement related Think Tanks and Leadership Institutes.

PR Participant Coordination - Coordinate outreach to identify eligible principal resident candidates and guide them through the application process. Screen applicants, schedule interviews, organize interview panel. Collaborate with EAHR advisors to support residents and track course registration and M.Ed. program progress. Liaise with Leadership Coaches and consultants to provide participant supports. Facilitate administration of surveys/protocols and focus groups. Track and monitor participation across component activities.

Supervisory & Communication - Oversee graduate student(s) to support this component of the project. Ongoing communication with project team and stakeholders.

Resource Development - Develop, edit, and refine framework resources such as presentations, handbooks, etc. Support development of proposals and manuscripts.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.

  • 4 years of experience as public school principal or administrator.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.Ed. in Educational Administration or related field

  • At least 5 years experience as public school principal

  • Experience developing partnerships with school districts and recruitment

  • Experience mentoring aspiring school administrators

  • Experience supporting principal residency program

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders (Principal Investigator, project personnel, university faculty, program advisors, district and campus administrators, aspiring school administrators, and consultants)

  • Strong organization skills: managing multiple tasks, schedules, and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail

  • Time management: prioritization of tasks and efficient use of time to handle multiple responsibilities

  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions

  • Adaptability: capacity to adapt to changes and manage evolving priorities in a dynamic environment

  • High proficiency use of cloud-based service to store, access, and share files online (such as Google drive, OneDrive)

  • Strong language skills in English to include clear and concise writing (accurate with a focus on grammar, spelling, and punctuation), attention to detail to review and revise technical writing, verbal communication (articulate ideas clearly and confidently in meetings, and presentations)
