Job Description
The Program Assistant, for the pantherTERM grant program provides vital support to the leadership team, focusing on external-facing activities such as outreach, partnership development, recruitment, and event management. This role is essential for maintaining and enhancing relationships with key stakeholders, promoting the program, and supporting high-level daily operations. The Program Assistant also assists in the preparation of reports and evaluations, contributing to the overall effectiveness and growth of the program.
This position is funded by a grant or restricted funds. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of grant or restricted funding.
This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities:
Assist the leadership in supporting the implementation and daily operations of the pantherTERM grant program.
Provide strategic input and support for achieving pantherTERM grant program goals and objectives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships and establish new partnerships with local school districts, educational organizations, and other external partners.
Represent the pantherTERM grant program at external events, meetings, and conferences to promote its mission and recruit participants.
Assist with recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
Support the preparation reports for internal stakeholders and funding agencies.
Assist in supporting pantherTERM grant program budgets and ensuring compliance with grant requirements and university policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
.Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
No prior experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Special Requirements:
- Applicants with equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree may be considered. One year of the related experience is the equivalent of one college year. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have four years of related experience to meet the equivalency in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus the minimum required years of experience. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have a total of four years of experience.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to lift light objects up to 10lbs office supplies and equipment as needed.
