About the role
This position is responsible for producing components, from a variety of operations (Auto Booth burn off, material handling, etc.). This position requires the associate to correctly set-up and perform their required duties productively and efficiently within the process set up time. Upon completion of a set-up, the associate is responsible for producing quality components.
Compensation: $18-$24
Plus 10% shift differential
What you will be doing
Perform set-ups, using the appropriate control plan, blue print, Auto Booth sheet, job router and, work instructions. Perform set-ups per set standard of the business system. Verify the status of the quality documents, parts and racks, before beginning the set-up process.
Responsible for maintaining the quality, quantity and standard work procedures throughout the Powder Coating area. Demonstrate the ability to proficiently operate all of the Auto line equipment related to the Powder Coat process, coordinate the daily tasks associated to the rackers and flex to work areas of constraint such as the Die Cast Secondary, Assembly, etc. Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
Perform and validate that all Preventative Maintenance functions have been completed at their scheduled interval
Proficiently use measuring devices to ensure the highest level of component quality. Collect quality data per the control plans and standard work and the necessary quality instrument when required.
Demonstrate basic trouble shooting skills to resolve component quality issues related to the Powder Coating process and associated operations.
Responsible to oversee that excellent housekeeping practices (5S) and booth maintenance are maintained daily, utilizing all available associates.
Ability to perform all required material handling aspects, such performing associated transactions in business system, scale proficiency, along with, burn-off and power washing of racks.
Ability to train and mentor Powder Coat shooters and rackers.
