Job Summary:

Perform and document the packaging (cartoning, bottling or blistering) of Over The Counter and Prescription solid dosage products. Can setup, operate and clean at least one packaging operation with minimal supervision and a second with supervisory oversite. Must perform such operations according to standard operating procedures and cGMPs. Carryout basic tasks of the packaging process following all procedures and instructions from the packaging batch record. Clearly write batch record entries. Must be able to grasp and demonstrate concepts from training sessions.

Schedule:

  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

Area Of Responsibility:

  • Perform Packaging processes in accordance with Packaging record/work orders.

  • Operate Packaging equipment per procedure mentioned in the SOP/PMR/PSMD.

  • Perform machine changeovers and area cleaning and set up as required.

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards during all stages of the Packaging process.

  • Complete Packaging documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Maintain compliance at all times with related SOPs, packaging records and cGMPs in the Packaging process.

  • Perform duties through the proper, safe use of equipment, according to Health & Safety procedures and Equipment Manuals.

  • Other duties as required.

Work Conditions:

  • Manufacturing/Production Environment

  • Moderate Noise. Exposure to dust, odor, noise, and fumes.

  • Hazards: Moving Mechanical Parts

Physical Requirements:

  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • Frequent talking, or hearing.

  • The employee is required to stand and occasionally stoop, kneel and crouch.

  • Use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects or controls.

  • Walk short distances. Clean and/or disassemble packaging equipment after the completion process.

  • Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Education and Job Qualification:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Forklift Certification preferred

Experience:

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/packaging environment

  • Some experience driving industrial trucks (Forklift, Power Jack, Hi-Low, etc.)

  • Understanding of OSHA Regulations

  • Position requires extensive supervision & training to accomplish job functions

Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience.
