Description
We are currently seeking Per Diem Occupational Therapists to provide direct services through the Early Intervention (EI) programs (birth-3).
Occupational Therapy focuses on strengthening both fine and gross motor skills while also addressing eating and oral motor skills, self-care maintenance, and positioning. Therapists use adaptive equipment and sensory integration techniques to help our students acquire the knowledge needed to perform these skills. Rates: $57-$65 / 30 minutes
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care treatment to children; ages birth-3
Evaluate progress and effectiveness and adjust treatment to achieve maximum benefit
Document all activities and assessments in detailed report in a timely manner
Participate in multidisciplinary team communication and service plans
Identify goals, measure progress, and provide plans for re-evaluation
Collaborate with related services in providing individualized programming for each child
Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) participation to develop, implement and monitor plan
Requirements:
Professional Occupational Therapist Degree
NYS Licensure in Occupational Therapist
Experience working with infants and toddlers with development delay
Experience with NYC DOH Early Intervention Program; knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practice.
