National Account Manager

Fully Remote • Northeast Region

Description

SUMMARY:Sells full range of flexible packaging products including wide and narrow web gravure and flexo printing, saran coating, extrusion and adhesive laminating, and various preformed pouches and bags. Company’s Markets include: Dry Products, Composite Cans, Personal Care, Pet Food, Confection, Fresh Produce, Coffee, and others.

Must be located or willing to relocated to the Northeast Region of the United States

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:

  • Total responsibility for the success of growing assigned accounts:

  • Maintain established customers.

  • Develop new accounts to either grow current markets or develop potential markets.

  • Develop sales plan based on customer/potential customer requirements and projections.

  • Participate in development of marketing plans and pricing strategy for accounts.

  • Responsible to keep abreast of customer plans and developments that affect current or future business.

  • Resolve customer issues and complaints. Coordinate organization’s services with customer’s needs.

  • Submits sales reports as required.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience with a Technical and/or Business concentration (i.e.: Chemical Engineering, Packaging Science, Business) desirable.

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in flexible packaging sales with understanding of various packaging processes specific to APC or equivalent experience.

  • Exceptional relationship building skills with a proven record of bringing in new, profitable business.

  • Proficient in PC skills, including Microsoft Office.

  • Travel – Air and car travel required.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
