Job Description

Copeland is looking for strategic and customer-oriented sales professional to sell Cold Chain solutions to Food Retail End User customers. These End User customers will primarily comprise Grocery, Drug, and Convenience Stores. Execute and assist in developing the Food Retail sales and marketing strategy. Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships and partnerships by ensuring customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, salaried (exempt) position with quarterly commissions. The position may be located at headquarters in Kennesaw, GA or in the field if appropriate.

As a National Account Executive, You Will:

  • Sell Cold Chain products and services at the mid to executive level

  • Find and develop qualified new businesses using the existing network and growing a more comprehensive network of contacts

  • Manage the ongoing sales process in a leadership fashion

  • Respond to and anticipate customer needs

  • Learn, understand, and communicate Specific Customer Needs. Convert these Customer Needs into Customized Solutions, helping to ensure long-term success

  • Look for and deliver incremental opportunities in established accounts

  • Build and foster relationships within the Cold Chain organization to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Build partnership relationships with customers

  • Effectively represent Electronics and Solutions to the customer

  • Effectively develop proposals with others and present, and communicate them effectively to customers

  • Make sure the customer is educated, trained, and oriented

  • Keep management informed of progress and account status

Who you are:

You are a strategic and customer-oriented sales professional with experience in the refrigeration Industry and working with Food Retail End User customers.

Schedule: Overnight travel is approximately 50%.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of business-to-business sales experience in a consultative, self-directed role or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of Food Retail Market and Buying Practices; experience working in or selling into retail accounts, especially convenience chains, but also pharmacy or dollar chains

  • Intermediate to advanced HVAC, lighting, refrigeration, and electronic controls experience or similar experience with mechanical or electromechanical components.

  • Energy management/conservation experience or education

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary/pay range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 + Bonus annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
