Community Medical and Dental Care Inc Medical Records Clerk in United States

  A growing health center in Rockland County, NY is looking to hire a Medical Records Clerk. This is a part-time position in a fast-paced medical records department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Properly and timely process request orders form various sources including but not limited to: electronic direct orders, legal documents, email orders, spread sheet order forms, and or nurse work products.

  • Determine completion of records and physical evidence received based upon parameters of request packet process records and physical evidence into database.

  • Quality check records and physical evidence of records and physical evidence for accuracy (correct subject, correct record type, correct custodian, etc.)

  • Process invoices associated with obtaining records from custodians. Verify invoices are within state statues.

  • Scan and index letters or medical information into patient charts.

  • Answer high volume calls and emails, and assist with proper documentation needed to successfully fulfill a request to various clientele/offices/lawyers/Heidi’s for insurance companies and life insurance companies.

  • Responsible to verify designation to have proper appointed family members on chart appointed to retrieve records.

    REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic medical records knowledge

  • Quick and willing to learn, reliable and dependable, customer service oriented

  • 1+ years of experience in e doctors office or health center

  • Experience with EHR software preferred
