We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Materials Management Manager to join our team as we develop and transition an autonomous vehicle prototype to production. The primary goal of this role is to work with the supply chain and contract manufacturers to negotiate optimal pricing of materials, thereby contributing to unit cost reduction initiatives for the program. (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Establish a relationship with the supply chain to communicate and manage the material requirements for the program from the prototype phase through to full rate production.

• Use material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained.

• Manage the procurement and delivery of high-value components to contract manufacturers as consigned parts.

• Provide materials management expertise to resolve problems and avoid delays in meeting delivery schedules.

Requirements

Basic Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business management or equivalent, and 10+ years’ experience in a supply chain management role or related position.

• Materials Requirements Planning

• Prior experience managing relationships with Contract Manufacturers.

• Extensive experience working with inventory management

• Strong negotiation experience

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Prior defense industry experience preferred.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Interpersonal skills and ability to build and improve trusting relationships
