Southwire Job Description

The Marketing Data Systems Specialist is primarily responsible for the governance, management, and enrichment of Southwire’s PIM and DAM systems. The individual will lead initiatives and work cross-collaboratively to ensure product data cleanliness, and consistencies, and create systems automation where possible for the flow of product data across the enterprise, to Southwire.com, and our customers’ systems. The Marketing Data Systems Specialist collaborates across the company with teams such as Sales, Product Management, and Integrated Marketing to develop, maintain, and achieve meaningful content within Southwire’s PIM and DAM systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead processes and policies to ensure the accuracy of all product content within PIM including key data fields, attributes, product descriptions, images, and documents needed to support the various sales and operational departments.

• Responsible for ensuring enriched content is updated in necessary PIM and DAM systems.

• Manages electronic collections, including images, video, project files, logos, artwork, streaming media, and databases with an emphasis on best practices in the use of DAM.

• Oversees lead planning, evaluation, and implementation of metadata and asset management policies, standards, procedures, and workflows.

• Executes product launch requests in PIM and DAM systems to make information available to customers through IDEA.

• Identify opportunities to gain efficiencies, automate, and improve data quality.

• Link digital assets to Southwire’s customer portals and website.

• Work cross-functionality with product and engineering teams to make sure all up-to-date product information is reflected in Southwire’s PIM and DAM data systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree

• 5+ years relevant experience; Experience with data repositories and warehouses, commercialized data, commercialized data management
