Leesport, PA: $67,339 - $87,539 Lehighton, PA: $72,017 - $93,620 Prompton, PA: $72,017 - $93,620 White Haven, PA: $61,111 - $79,443 Responsibilities Serves as Maintenance Control Specialist for five District multipurpose reservoir projects including flood control structures, visitor centers, natural resources and recreation features, and other appurtenant elements at several locations. As Project Systems Administrator, is assigned primary responsibility for the ongoing maintenance, control and administration of a comprehensive preventive maintenance control program and automated data system.. Exercises independent initiative and judgment in developing or updating equipment profiles, history, maintenance schedules, and related maintenance procedures and requirements for separate pieces of equipment and/ or facility features Organizes and compiles all pertinent information, assures accuracy, and enters data and updates for each piece of equipment into the maintenance system. Answers inquiries about work order status, equipment maintenance history, trouble reports, and other preventive maintenance questions. Responsible for accounting data and status changes on all Work Orders for work to be performed anywhere on the project. Works with project safety personnel to coordinate use of automated programs with existing Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) Works with Crew Supervisors to enter detailed data for job plan. Serves as Dam Operator who implements water control directions at a multipurpose reservoir. During periods of emergency, ice-jams, or high water, patrols areas inspecting for trouble or failure, checking operation of drainage structures, and coordinating river/project monitoring. Serves as USACE spokesman and local representative establishing and maintaining cooperative working arrangements for partnering with local emergency agencies and directs them in flood emergency situations. Directs lower-graded employees in the maintenance and development of Corps facilities and resources. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Developing maintenance schedules for a facility; and/or 2) Preparing a variety of reports, charts, graphs, or correspondence; and/or 2) experience operating a flood control dam. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
