ICONMA, LLC Lab Operations Manager, Translational Medicine – Oncology in United States

The Position: The Translational Medicine function at Client has a vision to transform patient care through borderless, innovative, and rigorous translational science that will catalyze the development of new medicines, accelerate drug development timelines, and discover new therapeutic strategies. To fulfill our vision, we recruit talented and highly motivated individuals to develop and execute innovative biomarker and diagnostic strategies to drive clinical development through all phases of the portfolio, and conduct foundational disease-oriented translational research to maximize our scientific and clinical impact. We seek a highly motivated contract lab operations manager to join Client and support laboratory operations/management efforts in the Translational Medicine – Oncology department. The candidate will support a highly diverse and dynamic translational research organization and act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all laboratory operations. Responsibilities: 1. The candidate will support the department’s wet-lab translational research organization by consolidating laboratory operations and management efforts to streamline processes, bolster data management and record keeping workflows, and augment experimental and instrumentation capabilities through operational excellence 2. Oversee daily operations in our research labs, including safety, compliance, and routine equipment maintenance 3. Work closely in collaboration with EH&S and Facilities departments to maintain a safe, compliant, and fullyfunctional and efficient work environment 4. Support, strategize, coordinate, and execute all large-scale facility changes - including space planning, lab reorganizations, cleanout and/or expansions 5. Collaborate with translational research teams to develop and implement sample management system for appropriate handling, storage, and documentation of preclinical and clinical samples 6. Work seamlessly with Translational Medicine Leadership Team, Franchise Heads, and Business Operations to coordinate lab operating budget/bulk reagent acquisitions, capital expenditures strategy, and execution of departmental lab priorities and goals 7. Proactively mitigate, troubleshoot, manage, and resolve lab-related issues; coordinate off-hours emergency response 8.
