What you’ll do:
Working in Inside Sales and Specialty Markets, the Tier 2 Account Executive will be responsible for the following primary duties:
The Inside Sales Account Executive II will partner with small schools/districts, account administrators and teachers to provide solutions that accelerate student success toward district initiatives. Territory management includes existing and new business opportunities via targeted outbound prospecting.
Job Responsibilities:
Territory Management: Maintain consistent & accurate data in SFDC (CRM system), to support territory and account planning. Effective use of SFDC to provide accurate forecasting and to identify, advance and close opportunities.
Territory Planning: Utilizing research, data, acct history, market conditions and relationship building to develop account plans that identify appropriate solutions to match customer needs on all assigned accounts.
Demonstrate successful deal management skills including alignment of decision makers, products or funding sources and negotiation.
Act as a trusted advisor by effectively leveraging internal resources that align to customer needs to close deals.

Deliver online consultations including digital product demonstrations

Demonstrate proactive approach to managing sales opportunities and driving advancement.
Execute strategies and managing territory and time with management direction.
Work independently in a remote environment utilizing digital tools and resources
Experience and Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 1 year sales experience required or proven Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Experience
Teaching experience preferred
Proven success in Educational Technology Sales preferred

Physical Requirements:
Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing)
Constantly operate a computer
Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings
Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
Flexible work from home scheduling with the ability to work irregular hours based on business needs and 4-5 trips per year for internal meetings and select customer visits. (0-10)
