Basic Qualifications: In order to meet basic qualifications for GS-2210 positions, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the competencies defined below: Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Specialized Experience: In addition to demonstrating the basic qualifications listed above, applicants must also demonstrate possession of specialized experience. You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level performing duties as: Applies new information technology security developments to ensure current guidelines are updated accurately; Applies project management principles and methods to gain an overview knowledge of future IT enterprise infrastructure; Processes engineering concepts to comply with organizational standards, and Supports implementation of infrastructure to secure and protect the environment.
