Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFCATION in the CLASSIFICATION DEPARTMENT A of FLEET HRO NORFOLK. Position may be filled at either Norfolk, VA (511686710), Stennis Space Center, MS (282447045), Mayport, FL (121972031) or Kings Bay, GA (133015039) Responsibilities You will provide a full range of position classification and position management advisory services to managers, supervisors and employees. You will develop, modify, conduct and/or oversee the presentation of formal training in classification, position management and desk audits. You will analyze and anticipate potential problems and recommend preventive actions. You will conduct desk-audits, resolve areas of inaccuracy, determine title, series and grade of positions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience serving as a Classifier in direct support to a large population encompassing a variety of amount of UICs and missions within a large BSO. Experience providing position management and classification services to a wide range of both GS and FWS positions in a variety of grades and series to include high-grade positions (GS-14/GS-15). Experience conducting desk audits and having conversations with senior level managers to gain information on the position to verify details and resolve problems. Experience providing on-going mentoring to junior-level employees to help develop necessary classification skill-sets. Experience developing and conducting presentations or formal training in classification, position management, and desk audits. Experience providing technical input on complex position management and classification issues in resolving potential conflicts. For GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience serving as a Classifier in direct support to a large population encompassing a variety of amount of UICs and missions within a large BSO. Experience providing position management and classification services to a wide range of both GS and FWS positions in a variety of grades and series to include high-grade positions (GS-14/GS-15). Experience conducting desk audits and having conversations with senior level managers to gain information on the position to verify details and resolve problems. Education GS-12 There are no educational substitutions for GS-12. GS-11 In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a doctoral degree OR Possession of an LL.M. that is related to this position being filled.
