Position Summary

HR generalist provides generalist expertise, advice and counsel in areas of Human Resources including compensation & benefits, labor relations, employment law, performance management, learning & development, relocation, and recruitment, offering & onboarding & resignation, promotion & salary adjustment etc.

Most of the functions covering Central Malaysia entities and supporting HR Manager in a few HR administration for Southern Malaysia entities when necessary .

Duties

Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development - 35%

  • Assist HR Manager and departmental managers to finalize Position Plan (Headcount Planning) for each department.

  • Assist on the training needs survey, combine training needs and conduct training needs analysis & diagnosis.

  • Assist to provide HR policy, process & projects related training, e.g. GPS Orientation, HRIS employee and manager models & attendance system training etc.

    Performance Management & Talent Management– 10%

  • Support managers and people leader as well as employees in making sure performance management is properly administered.

  • Assist to conduct talent review process by utilizing succession planning model and development plan/model.

Staffing Management and Compensation & Benefits - 35%

  • Staffing management, which includes new hire offer letter preparation and negotiation, health-check and on-boarding process, probation management, signing employment contract & contract renewal, dealing with exit interview and termination process etc.;

  • Provide remuneration and benefits support including: managing data quality audit, compensation model training & guidance, annual compensation review process, job evaluation (job grade) & comp-ratio review based on salary structure, managing the merit & annual bonus payout calibration, managing salary adjustment & promotional salary increase approval process.

    Employee Retention & Engagement and Employee Relations – 15%

  • Assist HR Manager to facilitate Employee Engagement Survey & pulse survey, train & guide and support managers to develop specific action plans, ensuring ongoing communication and measuring progress to goals.

  • Responsible of the HR compliance to the Malaysia Employment Act and attend to the government audit by JTK(local Labour Office). Ensure compliance and regulatory guidelines, STERIS HR global policies, practice and procedure are met through consultation and training.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field preferred.

    7+ years HR experience especially in recruitment and C&B under multinational manufacturing environment.

    nowledgeable on function specific activities, such as recruitment techniques, HRIS, Compensation, familiar with all HR Operational Process .

    Knowledgeable on employment laws, HR procedures and practices.

    Experience in handling labour disputes, conducting investigations and hearings, providing solutions, and negotiating the termination of labour contracts.

    Experience to deliver internal trainings to employees.

    Experience to use Success Factor in Employee Central, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Recruiting Models, Compensation Models.
