Job Description

The Graduate Assistant Non-Teaching (Chevron Leadership Academy) will assist the Center Director with a variety of tasks that may include logistics for program events, assisting with guest lectures and speakers, with participants and career development activities, providing support for leadership-focused academic courses, assisting with data collection on participant progress and outcomes, and other duties in support of the Leadership Academy.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the director with logistics associated with program events.

  • Assist with guest lectures and speakers.

  • Assist participants with career development activities.

  • Provide support for a leadership-focused academic course.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Eligibility & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field.

  • Must be in good academic standing.

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University. (Minimum of 9 credit hours during the regular fall and spring semesters and 6 semester credit hours for the summer semester).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication.

  • Basic computer literacy.
