The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of work in support of the unit recreation program. Responsibilities Checks visitor use of recreation facilities. Monitors compliance with recreation area rules and regulations of parking, campfires, sanitation, use of picnic sites, or hunting and fishing. Reports violations to supervisor. Cleans recreation areas and maintains improvements. Answers routine questions recreational activities. Constructs and/or maintains trails. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
