PNC Estate Settlement Advisor - PNC Private Bank in United States

As an Estate Settlement Advisor, you will work within the PNC Private Bank organization. You will be based in either the Baltimore or DC office. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

Estate and Trust administrations are faced with intricate and complicated tax and legal matters. When PNC Bank, NA is a named corporate fiduciary or agent, our experienced estate settlement officers offer a skillset to professionally administer estates and trusts, while collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure success and “ease of mind” to all parties involved.

Responsibilities:

• Provides estate administration and related relationship management services

to an assigned book of business and serve as a specialized fiduciary expert for

estates in those relationships.

• Engages in fiduciary decision-making by executing the terms of governing

documents, in which PNC serves as executor or trustee. Responsible for

identification, marshalling, and safeguarding of assets. Coordinates appraisals,

creditor reconciliations, distribution

of assets pursuant to governing documents.

• Administers complex estate administrations, including addressing special

assets, liquidity, and concentrated holdings; assisting in resolution of

family/beneficiary conflicts; preserving and conserving estate assets overall;

obtaining accurate valuations and meeting all administrative and legal

deadlines.

• Ensures and coordinates the preparation of appropriate tax returns and court

or other state-required filings for the estate and the decedent. Understanding

of income and estate tax (Forms 706, 706, 1040, 1041, 2848).

• Supports the estate settlement business both internally and with Centers of

Influence. Serves as a point of technical expertise and problem-solving

escalation for the Estate Settlement Advisor team. Works with external entities

to understand, contribute to and implement fiduciary/tax planning strategies

and assess financial planning impacts for the beneficiaries. Engages in

business-retention and sales opportunities and supports estate settlement

advisors in similar activities.

• Serves as a subject matter resource for the estate settlement team, fiduciary

and market leadership. Serves as a point of technical expertise and problem-

solving escalation for the Estate Settlement Advisor team. May serve as a

point of escalation for problem resolution and stand as a proxy for fiduciary

leadership.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $60,500.00 - $142,350

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education.

This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.

Job Description

  • Engages in fiduciary decision-making by executing the terms of any will or document in which PNC serves as executor or trustee, including estate settlement trusts and other estate-related trusts. Provides estate administration and related relationship management services for more complex estates. Serves as a specialized fiduciary expert for estates in those relationships. Promotes estate settlement business.

  • Engages in complex estate administration, including addressing special assets, liquidity and concentrated holdings; assisting in resolution of family/beneficiary conflicts; preserving and conserving estate assets overall; obtaining accurate valuations; and meeting all administrative and legal deadlines. Promotes the estate settlement business both internally and with Centers of Influence. Educates the branch network and others to identify estate settlement opportunities.

  • Works with external entities to understand, contribute to and implement fiduciary/tax planning strategies and assess financial planning impacts for the beneficiaries. Engages in business-retention and sales opportunities.

  • Ensures and coordinates the preparation of appropriate tax returns and court or other state required filings for the estate and the decedent.

  • Administers estate settlement trusts and other estate-related trusts.
