Entry-Level Underground Transmission Engineer

POWER Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking an entry or junior-level engineer to work in the Power Delivery Underground Line Department in our Hailey, Idaho office. As a member of POWER’s Underground team, you will be engaged in projects supporting senior-level engineers that will broaden and deepen your engineering skillsets. Minimum Education/Experience:

  • BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering) or BSCE (BS Civil Engineering) degree, from an accredited university

  • The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel

  • Computer literacy and the ability to learn new computer software efficiently

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship

Desired Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA)

  • Electrical engineering degree with a focus on power systems or civil engineering

  • Interest in underground line design and consulting engineering in the electric utility industry

  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or is a registered Engineer In Training (EIT)

  • Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to electrical systems or civil engineering, is desirable

DOE Salary: The pay range for this position is $68K-$75K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
