Position Description: The Enterprise Data Architect plays a critical role in transforming the bank's data into a strategic asset. They are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data models for enterprise applications used throughout the bank. This ensures consistent, high-quality data that can be easily accessed and analyzed to support informed decision-making. Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define a long-term data architecture vision and standards.

  • Craft a roadmap with short-term actions to achieve these goals.

  • Establish data governance processes, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.

  • Develop methods to track and improve data quality, completeness, and minimize redundancy.

  • Conduct data capacity planning and create strategies for data security, backup, disaster recovery, and archiving.

  • Acquisition & Deployment:

  • Ensure successful implementation of enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, Salesforce, etc.).

  • Partner with vendors to select the best solutions for your company's needs.

  • Operational Management:

  • Define clear data ownership and management frameworks across the organization.

  • Develop and promote standardized data management practices.

  • Select and implement the right tools and systems to support data goals.

  • Oversee data flow and transformations, ensuring data quality throughout.

  • Collaborate with project managers and business leaders on data-related aspects of projects.

  • Troubleshoot data integration challenges across various platforms.

  • Foster a data-driven culture by providing training and coaching to staff.

  • Develop testing procedures to guarantee data architecture performance.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of the data environment.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize data usage through reuse, migration, or retirement.

    Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years' work experience as a data or information architect.

  • Proven skills in data modeling, data mining, and business requirements analysis.

  • Experience implementing data management processes and decision support systems.

  • Strong understanding of relational databases, metadata management, and data lifecycle methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience with data architecting tools, repository tools, data mapping tools, and data profiling tools.

  • Experience with database platforms (MS SQL Server, Oracle preferred) and SQL.

  • Familiarity with web services (SOAP, XML, REST/JSON) and object-oriented programming.

    Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, system analysis, or a related field.

  • Certifications like Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate and Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate are a Plus.
