ELECTRICAL ENGINEER GENERATION ENTRY-LEVEL

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to work in our Generation Electrical Department. Openings are available for the Boise, ID; Overland Park (Kansas City), KS; and Oradell, NJ offices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Detailed design of generating plant and renewable energy electrical systems under the supervision of a lead electrical engineer

  • Electrical system upgrades under the supervision of a lead electrical engineer

  • Typical tasks include the development of one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, conduit and cable sizing and routing, panel schedules, material take-offs, and writing of specifications

Required Education/Experience:

  • 0-2 years experience

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills

  • Desired Education/Experience

  • Student membership in IEEE

  • AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience

  • EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certificate

  • Construction experience, including electrical construction, would be a plus

  • Intern experience in the design or operation of generating or heavy industrial facilities would be a plus

  • Intern experience at a Consulting Engineering firm would be a plus
