HashiCorp Director, Technical Engagement in United States
We are seeking an experienced communications strategist that understands how to develop a world-class engagement framework to support our growing internal technical community. This is a highly engaged, hands-on role reporting directly to the Sr. Vice President of Worldwide Technical Field Operations (WWTFO) and side-by-side 500+ of the best and most diverse technical talent in the industry (Sales Engineering, Solutions Architects, Technical Strategists, Customer Success and Professional Services).
This role is best suited for a “been there, done that” communications professional that thrives in a high growth, fast paced and highly collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Be the “voice of WWTFO” internally at HashiCorp with a clear understanding of best practices on methods, mediums (email, newsletters, video, live sessions) and logical sequencing of change events.
Develop and maintain ownership of a global knowledge sharing and change management framework for the technical community inclusive of:
Internal engagement to improve clarity around our vision, mission, strategy and goals.
Internal marketing of our technical initiatives and programs.
Launch planning of new service offers, internal technical campaigns and technical enablement
Executive communications to ensure an efficient mix of top-down, cross functional and bottoms-up awareness
Storytelling, internal community creation and the development of technical case studies using words that matter to our teams
Requirements:
Based anywhere in the US (East Coast time zone preferred)
5+ years of experience of operating effectively within a technical environment
Technical writing, storytelling, and/or change management experience a must
Must be proficient in PowerPoint/G-Slides and any graphic design tool (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch)
Must have supported events – conferences, sales kick-off, media event etc.
Experience launching, managing, and driving communication campaigns and then analyzing metrics to make future improvements.
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Journalism, Marketing or Communications
Comparable Experience:
Product Marketing, Technical Writer, Program Management, Corporate Communications, Change Management

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:
$188,700—$222,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:
$173,000—$203,500 USD
The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:
$157,300—$185,000 USD
