Job Title: Director – Indirect Procurement

  • As the Director of Indirect Procurement for Epredia, you will be a key leader in the procurement function, responsible for optimizing the sourcing and procurement of indirect goods and services critical to our operations.

  • You will develop and execute strategic procurement initiatives to ensure cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance in support of our mission to advance precision cancer diagnostics at the heart of successful pathology labs.

    Location: This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the United States.

    What you will do:

  • Develop and implement the indirect procurement strategy aligned with the company's objectives and growth plans.

  • Provide strategic leadership in navigating the complex and dynamic procurement landscape within the cancer diagnostics industry.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing indirect procurement team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and identify opportunities for skill development.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring continuous improvement in supplier performance.

  • Evaluate and monitor supplier capabilities, conducting regular audits to ensure quality and reliability of supplies.

  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through effective negotiation, strategic sourcing, and innovative procurement strategies.

  • Implement and champion cost optimization projects while maintaining the highest standards of product and service quality.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the indirect procurement function.

  • Integrate advanced technologies to streamline procurement processes and enhance data analytics capabilities.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including R&D, manufacturing, quality, and finance, to align procurement activities with the Epredia’s business development goals.

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product launches and other strategic initiatives.

  • Develop and manage the indirect procurement budget, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation.

  • Provide regular financial reports to executive leadership.

    Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in a senior procurement leadership role within the cancer diagnostics or healthcare industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of indirect procurement strategies, best practices, and market trends specific to cancer diagnostics / pathology laboratories.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the healthcare and diagnostics sector.

  • Max travel requirement 25%.
