OSV Digital Content Marketing Strategist in United States

The Digital Content Marketing Strategist will be a talented and content-marketing-savvy team player who will create, manage, and oversee high-quality digital content that aligns with our mission and appeals to our audience. This role requires an understanding of digital content production, content marketing, social media trends, and SEO best practices.

Essential Job Functions (*=Non-essential tasks):

  • Serve as the cross-functional liaison between the Content and Marketing Teams to execute social media campaigns, content marketing initiatives, lead nurturing campaigns, and influencer and audience relationship-building efforts

  • Work closely with Content, Design, and Marketing Teams to build and maintain consistent brand tone, style, and visual experience across digital periodical platforms and channels

  • Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics

  • Develop engaging content daily across multiple social platforms, including posts, stories and videos

  • Interact with customers and other stakeholders via Content Team social media channels

  • Oversee Content Team social media accounts’ design elements, such as profile pictures, cover photos and layouts

  • Monitor content marketing trends and generate ideas to increase OSV Content Team visibility and reader engagement

  • Employ the latest methods and trends to ensure OSV periodicals and digital engagement platforms support and align with the OSV brand voice

  • Use social listening and comparative analysis to stay apprised of the Catholic ecclesial and cultural social conversation and ensure that OSV Content Team channels remain at the leading edge of Catholic social communications and engagement.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital media, English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Coursework in theology or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in writing, editing, and content management for digital platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of the Catholic Church.

  • Demonstrated experience with content management systems, social media platforms, and SEO best practices.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to facilitate and maintain excellent communication and collaboration within a cross-functional team.

  • Proficiency in digital editing software and video editing tools.

  • Ability to work in deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing practices and audience engagement strategies.

  • Excellent copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills.

  • Ability to analyze audience data and adjust content strategies accordingly.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a collaborative and cooperative working style.

  • Proficient knowledge of the teachings, practices, and traditions of the Catholic Church with the ability to apply that knowledge within a writing, editing, and content development framework.

Working Environment:

  • Depending on the candidate, hybrid and fully remote work is a possibility

  • Must be able to sit for the majority of one’s shift

  • May be required to travel a few times a year
