We currently have a wonderful opening to join our team as a remoteData Engineer. This person will serve as an experienced data warehouse consultant to support the enterprise data warehouse program. A successful candidate should have multiple years of development and support experience with large scale healthcare data warehouse built on either cloud or on-prem platform. At this time, US Anesthesia Partners does not hire candidates residing in New York, California, Hawaii, or Alaska.

Job Highlights

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Works with business analysts and business users to identify, understand, and prioritize user requirements .

  • Drives client conversations around technical and functional design and specifications.

  • Communicates between business users and the EDW development team to translate business requirement into technical requirement.

  • Works with data warehouse architects to design technical solutions on model enhancement and/or logic change to satisfy client requests.

  • Designs, codes and tests new data warehouse features including adding or updating columns, tables, views, OLAP cubes, etc.

  • Analyzes query performance and performs query tuning to assist development engineers in designing and optimizing queries.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent IT certifications.

  • Strong analytical skills to solve and model complex business requirements.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and team player.

  • Self-starter, with great analytical skills.

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT industry. Working knowledge with US healthcare IT protocols and coding systems, such as CPT, ICD-9/10, HIPPA, etc.

  • 10+ years of combined database development experience with on-prem and cloud data platforms. MS SQL server, Azure Synapse highly preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting the enterprise data warehouse and reporting solutions.

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python, including the ability to write stored procedures, analytic/windowing functions, and optimize query performance.

  • 3+ years of experience with mainstream BI solutions including PowerBI, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, Tableau, etc.

  • Experience troubleshooting common database issues (duplicate keys, inefficient joins/views, DB performance issues).
